COVID-19 and Infection Control
Our Safety Protocols
We take the following infection control measures to ensure our practice is safe for patients and staff:
-
We follow infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
-
Our staff has taken extensive OSHA Training and continues to stay up to date on all new incoming information during Covid-19
-
We are taking staff members’ temperatures each day before work and staff will not come to the office when they are feeling under the weather
The experience I had at this office was amazing. I was a bit hesitant due to COVID about going into a dental office, but this office did an outstanding job of constantly disinfecting everything. That includes wiping down the waiting room, to the dental room itself. They kept the amount of people in the waiting room to a minimum, and asked each patient questions about COVID and took my temperature upon entering the office. The front office staff was very friendly and made me feel much more at ease after answering all of my questions about how this office is handling COVID.

Your Safety is Our Priority
At Cusumano & Stuver - Dentistry of Arlington, infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office.
Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable.

-
We have onsite laundry and continue to launder our scrubs on site so that our staff does not have to carry the work day home with them
-
During the course of the day, our staff wears a Level 3 mask over the top of a KN95 or N95 mask with a face shield
-
Our front desk staff are required to wear masks as well
-
We have reduced our aerosols with HVAC purifiers in each and every operatory
-
Hand sanitizer is available at check in, check out and in all operatories
-
We ask screening questions and take temperatures of our patients before beginning treatment
-
Our patients are encouraged to come to their appointments alone, if at all possible
-
We seat patients in operatories as soon as possible to avoid waiting in the lobby
-
You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect
Your health is our number one priority. Your oral health is a key factor in your overall health. Periodontal disease and gingival inflammation contribute to heart disease, stroke and diabetes among other illnesses in addition to weakening your immune system. Keep brushing and flossing twice a day and ensure you attend your check-ups. Our staff is exceeding expectations, prepared and ready to continue your dental care.
